An that is a good thing because it will be a lot cheaper ($140,000 for the Macan S and $105,000 for the basic one) so I can buy one in 5 years time.

but then it would be what 40-45k that's "poor people" money, barely more than a loaded Tiguan. They can't just let some average Joanna drive around in a vehicle with a Porsche badge.

OH! $105K is far more reasonable. Totally would buy.

yeah. You ppl grew up in North America have it easy.
It wasn't easily to explain to ppl here why my first car is a 14k used BMW; but pretty convincing to folks in my home country (Taiwan) on spending less than 14k on a used one.
Cuz their follow up question are always: isn't the new one half the price here? Why don't you get a new one?

Yeah, but that's ok because Porsche makes their profit on options. Supposedly they average 10k in options per car

My first car was a used BMW too :D my dad handed me down his 1984 318i in 1995. I was so stoked. It was slow and not worth much by then but I didn care. It was a car.
I wish I still had it
